Elder Biddulph

This picture really cracks me up.....now who would really believe this to be the real deal, it looks like a pillow stuffed up his shirt to me...what do you think?

What, Santa, are there no reindeer in Italy?

Ya right you ain't fooling me!

Oh how I miss my Blake!

Veterans Day

A hero is someone who understands the responsibility that comes with his freedom!
That's my dad!

Thanks dad for serving our country in Korea and for who you are and what you stand for.
You will always be my hero!

Big Joseph's Birthday!

Joseph Peter Simpson

Joseph is so excited for Kelli and her honey (thats how Joseph refers to Derek) to have their baby. When Kelli was home last week Joseph put his head on her belly and came up and announced to us all that it's a girl. haha we will see if Joseph is right;)

We love you Joseph!

Princess and The Pea & Kidney Stones

According to an old fairy tale, a single tiny pea placed beneath 20 mattresses and 20 featherbeds was enough to keep the true princess awake throughout the night. In real life, a tiny pea-sized stone, lodged in the ureter, is enough to keep you not only awake all night buy crying out in pain and gritting your teeth until you can get to a doctor for relief...happy I'm married to one.

I would much rather deliver a 9lb 5oz baby (which I have) then deliver 3mm kidney stone......

That is all I have to say about that!

2 of My Favorite Things

Dinner Time and Bed Time!
Tucking kids in and going to bed after a long hard day, Ohh how I love!
I have a wonderful bed.
But since our family is growing Mike bought me a beautiful kitchen table for my birthday.
Our family is changing and it reminds me of a song my parents have always loved.
"No Empty Chairs". It has just been lately I understand why....
verse 2 goes like this-
Time will fly, and all too quickly
Some will leave to try their wings
Empty places at our table
Will tug at our heartstrings
But the number at our table
Will increase as children come
Bringing to our family table
Sweet innocence and fun

we'll add a few more chairs to our table
A lot more laughter and love
As our joy is multiplied daily
To fill our cup!

I also loved Elder Eyrings talk at conference and I have the same plea
"Please, no empty Chairs"

Fall Time

This is what we have been up to.........
soccer
more soccer
and a lot of volleyball!

Trees

We can learn a lot from trees,
they're always grounded but never stop reaching heavenward.
-Everett Mamor-
Trees planted by the M&M Biddulph Family by numbers-
59 Quaking Aspen
43 Pine
(-1 that we used for a Christmas tree last year)
8 Apple
7 May Day
6 Crab Apple
4 Peach
3 Plum
3 Cherry
2 Pear
2 Mountain Ash
2 Apricot
1 Maple
And 1 Weeping Willow growing heavenward (8 ft. a year) that soon will be big enough to build a play house in for our posterity!

With all these trees comes lots of work.... pruning, canning, watering, praying, spraying, picking, juicing, more canning, drying and most important Mike talking to them:) And now it is time for our long winter nap... from gardening. Yipee!

Frolicking in the Fall

What an awesome sound it is to hear elk bugle..... all night:) I sure hope they got what they were bugling for! Although this one looks a little dejected down there by the lake.
Mike the great fly fisherman! His talents never cease to amaze me.
Here is Mike chopping wood with his brand new $60.00 ax that he is very proud of.

Every fall Mike & I leave the kids, worries, responsibilities, cell phones and everyday luxuries and we head up to the mountains. We usually go backpacking into upper palisades lake. This year we decided to go to Yellowstone Park and see the beautiful fall colors, camp, and fish. We had a great time!
